Olutindo is designed to improve communications between citizens and their local government. In Uganda local government officials use a tablet application to monitor, manage, and help respond to citizen requests.
Disease Surveillance
In Zimbabwe, RTI is working with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the  Ministry of Health and Child Welfare (MOHCW) to improve disease surveillance using mobile phones.
Reporting Drug Stocks
Drugs for fighting neglected tropical diseases are now at the fingertips of clinic staff in Uganda with a new text-messaging system being piloted by RTI with funds from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
